Probable Pitchers for Saturday, July 18
Johan Santana (NYM) @ Kenshin Kawakami (ATL)
Kawakami is pitching pretty well at home. He has a 3.52 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and opponents are batting .220 against him.

Probable Pitchers for Friday, July 17
Cole Hamels (PHI) @ Ricky Nolasco (FLA)
Nolasco has been pitching very well since returning from the Minors but that was mainly against offensively challenged teams. The Phillies were pretty hot before the All Star break, batting .292 in their last 5 games.

Probable Pitchers for Thursday, July 16
Garrett Olson (SEA) @ Cliff Lee (CLE)

Probable Pitchers for Sunday, July 12
Aaron Harang (CIN) @ Mike Pelfrey (NYM)
Harang has always been a bit too hittable for my liking but that shouldn’t be much of an issue against the not so Amazin’s. The Mets are batting .177 in their last 6 games, with 33 hits in 186 at-bats.

Probable Pitchers for Saturday, July 11
Gil Meche (KC) @ John Smoltz (BOS)
Meche’s arm issues seem to be getting better but he’s walked 10 in his last two starts and gave up 7 homers in his last 4 outings. Maybe it’s best to sit this one out before starting him again.

Probable Pitchers for Friday, July 10
Zach Duke (PIT) @ Joe Blanton (PHI)
Zach Duke has been very solid in his last few outing but he is hittable and that could be costly at Citizens Bank Park.

Probable Pitchers for Thursday, July 9
Roy Halladay (TOR) @ David Price (TB)
This looks like a favourable matchup for Price actually. Price is pitching much better at home and the Blue Jays have been batting over .250 only once in their last 10 games. His inconsistency makes this start very risky tho

Probable Pitchers for Wednesday, July 8
Brian Tallet (TOR) @ Scott Kazmir (TB)
Scott Kazmir looks well improved since his return from the DL but he continues to struggle with the pitch count.
|
Probable Pitchers for Tuesday, July 7
Paul Maholm (PIT) @ Brian Moehler (HOU)
Paul Maholm has been very inconsistent for quite some time now and remains a risk to start, even against an Astros team that’s batting .209 in their last 5 games.

Probable Pitchers for Monday, July 6
Ricky Romero (TOR) @ Andy Pettitte (NYY)
Romero has been absolutely terrific and has not given up a run in 20 innings. But this is Yankee Stadium. Pitch him at your own risk!
