In his last 3 starts Ely's ERA is 9.20 and he gave up 6 long balls.
Kevin Correia (SD) @ James Shields (TB) Tim Hudson (ATL) @ Mark Buehrle (CWS) Paul Maholm (PIT) @ Dustin Nippert (TEX) John Lackey (BOS) @ Ubaldo Jimenez (COL) Johnny Cueto (CIN) @ Vin Mazzaro (OAK) Brian Bannister (KC) @ Stephen Strasburg (WAS) Ricky Nolasco (FLA) @ Brian Matusz (BAL)
I don't feel confident enough to recommend Matusz yet but he certainly is on my watch list.

All things considered I'd say this is a fair trade. Personally, I think Ichiro is overrated. Oswalts value could increase or decrease, depending on where he will end up playing.
I'm debating about Wells or Bonderman today. I'm not sure about Lackey in Colorado though.
What do you think of trading Gallardo and Span for Ichiro and Oswalt? I think I'd be giving up the better pitcher but getting the better offensive player.
