I finally take my chances on Myers. 6 of his last 7 outings were
quality starts and the Nationals are only batting .197 during their
current 6-game road trip.

Blackburn had 5 consecutive quality starts, got the win each time and lowered his ERA from 6.85 to 4.28.
Initially I don't like this trade. Gallardo is better than Oswalt and V-Mart is better than Doumit. I believe Vlad will continue to slug, he plays half of his games in Texas after all, but I think you could get a better deal.
Hey, what do you think of this deal. It's actually a couple of trade proposals with a couple of teams, but in the end it would be:
I'd give up Span, Gallardo and Victor Martinez
to receive Oswalt, Doumit and Vlad
I'd probably be downgrading at the C position and a little bit from Gallardo to Oswalt, but Vlad's bat would help me replace Morales. Do you think it is a good deal or do you think Vlad will not hit like this all summer?
