Despite a 4-hitter in his last start, a generally good record at US
Cellular Field and a White Sox team that's batting .244 in their last 5
games, Saunders is not yet a pitch-case in my opinion.
Scott Baker (MIN) @ Clay Buchholz (BOS)
Gil Meche (KC) @ Justin Masterson (CLE) Wade Davis (TB) @ A.J. Burnett (NYY)
Aaron Harang (CIN) @ Kenshin Kawakami (ATL)
Jeremy Guthrie (BAL) @ Rich Harden (TEX)
Let's see if Harden can bounce back from his poor outing at Toronto but
handle with care, the Orioles are batting .291 in their last 6 games.
Jon Garland (SD) @ Ramon Ortiz (LAD)
R.A. Dickey (NYM) @ Livan Hernandez (WAS)
Tom Gorzelanny (CHC) @ Jamie Moyer (PHI)
I pass on Gorzelanny because the Phillies had 11 or more hits in 6 consecutive games and a batting average of .326
Randy Wolf (MIL) @ Brian Burres (PIT)
Wolf's ERA may have increased from 3.34 to 4.66 in his last 3 starts
but the Pirates are only batting .192 in their last 2 games. Also, Wolf
is 8-1 in 14 starts against Pittsburgh.
How can someone drop Johan? Someone dropped Grady Sizemore 2 days ago in the league where I have Crawford, Choo, Abreu, Hunter, Victorino and Span at OF. 2 weeks ago I would have dropped Torii Hunter. Now I don't know if anyone's worth dropping.
I pulled the trigger on the Dunn/Lackey for BJ/Cordero deal.
Someone in my league put Johan Santana on waivers today. I used a waiver claim about 10 days ago when someone put Kershaw on waivers.....so I've got no chance to get him.
