I think it is a fair trade. I'd choose Cordero over Lackey any day and you'd get the steals from Upton for the homers you get from Dunn. Upton can be frustrating and he won't be as good as he was in 2008 but he'll be better than he was in 2009. If you have worries about the Dunn/Upton part of the deal try to aim higher, meaning go for another guy who can steal, but you may have to sacrifice more than just Dunn. Crawford maybe? But getting Crawford and a closer would be blockbuster style.
I don't like many of the options today. I am thinking about adding Richard, but I also see that Gallardo is pitching today in some places instead of Bush.
What do you think of this trade....I was offered BJ and Francisco Cordero for Dunn and Lackey. I am last in my league in steals and I really need closer help so the trade would fill a couple of needs. I don't mind giving up Lackey that much, but I hate to surrender Dunn's HRs. The wild card to me is BJ Upton. I had him most of last year and he was just frustrating. He seemed to start this year off hot, but has cooled......I'm not sure I want to take on the frustration of him again, but I certainly could use help in the steals category.
