None of Slowey's last 3 starts was a quality start. In fact, he has
just 1 quality start so far because he can't get past the 6th inning.
The White Sox can't hit, .247 in their last 7 games, but I'd still be
careful.

Neither pitcher has been very good lately. Start them if you are desperate for Ks but at your own risk!

Olsen seems worth a gamble. He gave up 1 run in his last 20.1 innings. The Mets are batting .228 in their last 8 games.

So do you see Choo as an upgrade over Span? Would you trade Gallardo and Span for Oswalt and Choo? I hate to give up Gallardo.....but Oswalt could be a good replacement.
I see Choo as an upgrade to Span. Gallardo is better than Oswalt and you'd lose Ks and Ws but he should give you a similar ERA and WHIP. Provided Oswalt continues to pitch like he did that looks like a fair deal to me. On paper your opponent looks like the winner but if you see Oswalt keeping this up then go for it. Who are your other SPs?
Thanks...... the guy pulled it back before I could accept it, so I don't know if he changed his mind or what.
I had another one offering me Ichiro and Oswalt for Gallardo and Span. I don't think I can see this one. Ichiro will hit for more average than Span but the SBs will be close and I think SPan will drive in more runs. Oswalt is having a good year but I don't think he is as good as Gallardo.
If I were gonna make the deal I might ask for Choo instead of Ichiro
I agree that the Ichiro deal should not go through. Choo is the better option. It's always better if you can upgrade bats because you'll always be able to find a good pitcher.
Frankly, I like Sanchez better than Liriano but there is not much difference between them so this part is as even as it gets. McCutchen, in my opinion, has more upside than Span (and this is coming from a guy who loves Denard Span!). McCutchen is a 20/20 guy and could be even more this year. He is hitting better than Span. You'd get AVG, HR, SB for RBI. Sounds reasonable enough to make the deal.
Someone is offering me Andrew McCutcheon and Jonathan Sanchez for Liriano and Denard Span. He wants to upgrade his SP, and I think Liriano is a little better with more upside than Sanchez. I need SB, and I'm thinking McCutcheon might steal a little more and add more power than Span. I like Span though. I think it's a pretty even deal, but I don't know if it is worth giving up Liriano over to move from Span to McCutcheon.
