David Price’s much hyped season debut is finally there. In spite of his tremendous skill set, or so they say, I want to see a few games first before I make him a pitch candidate.

Davis actually pitches quite well at home and the Padres are batting .186 in their last 7 games.
Chris Carpenter (STL) @ Yovani Gallardo (MIL)
There are several things I don’t like about Gallardo’s last 3 games: A WHIP of 1.65, a homer in each of the games, 9 walks, 19 hits and twice he didn’t pitch past the 5th inning.

Despite pitching well Volstad surrendered 4 runs in each of his last two outings. That makes me a little nervous about pitching in Citizens Bank Park.
