Probable Pitchers for Tuesday, August 18

Jason Berken (BAL) David Price (TB)

I’ve been critical of Price all season long but he is pitching much better at home than on the road. Has anyone noticed that he’s throwing fewer Ks lately?

Trevor Bell (LAA) @ Fausto Carmona (CLE)

Gil Meche (KC) @ Freddy Garcia (CWS)

Ricky Nolasco (FLA) @ Bud Norris (HOU)

Felix Hernandez (SEA) @ Rick Porcello (DET)

Porcello pitched well against Baltimore and at Cleveland, and the Mariners are only batting .247 in their last 5 games.

Ubaldo Jimenez (COL) @ Craig Stammen (WAS)

Jon Garland (ARI) @ Pedro Martinez (PHI)

Manny Parra (MIL) @ Ross Ohlendorf (PIT)

Ohlendorf has 4 consecutive quality starts but the Brewers lineup is very lefty-heavy and lefties are batting .308 against Ohlendorf.

Josh Beckett (BOS) @ Ricky Romero (TOR)

Tim Lincecum (SF) @ Homer Bailey (CIN)

Derek Lowe (ATL) @ Oliver Perez (NYM)

Carl Pavano (MIN) @ Scott Feldman (TEX)

CC Sabathia (NYY) @ Vin Mazzaro (OAK)

Ryan Dempster (CHC) @ Cesar Carrillo (SD)

Mitchell Boggs (SD) @ Chad Billingsley (LAD)
