Probable Pitchers for Wednesday, July 29

Mike Hampton (HOU) @ Randy Wells (CHC)

Risky start for Wells as he is slightly better away from home and two of his last three starts weren’t that good, but there is a possibility for a win.

Kenshin Kawakami (ATL) @ Josh Johnson (FLA)

Joba Chamberlain (NYY) @ Matt Garza (TB)

Aaron Laffey (CLE) @ John Lackey (LAA)

Zach Duke (PIT) @ Matt Cain (SF)

Roy Halladay (TOR) @ Ryan Rowland-Smith (SEA)

Zack Greinke (KC) @ Chris Tillman (BAL)

Brett Anderson (OAK) @ Brad Penny (BOS)

Mat Latos (SD) @ Aaron Harang (CIN)

Harang is pitching very well at home and boasts a 2.95 ERA. His last 3 starts there were all quality starts. In 7 of their last 11 games the Padres did not bat over .200!

Jason Hammel (COL) @ Johan Santana (NYM)

Garrett Mock (WAS) @ Manny Parra (MIL)

Justin Verlander (DET) @ Scott Feldman (TEX)

Bartolo Colon (CWS) @ Francisco Liriano (MIN)

Clayton Kershaw (LAD) @ Joel Pineiro (STL)

J.A. Happ (PHI) @ Yusmeiro Petit (ARI)

Be careful with Happ though. The Diamondbacks are batting .327 during their current homestand.

Yeah.....Lee going to a hitter's park isnt' going to help his numbers. I think the same thing about Washburn if he goes to the Yankees.

I always have an ace like Johan or CC who have one bad start and keep my stats mediocre. And I'm nothappy about Lee going to Philly

Yeah. My starters are Johan, Felix, Carpenter, Wainwright, Cain, Lackey and Washburn. They've pretty much all been pitching very well lately.

It's my offense that's suffered..especially with Hunter and Berkman out

You do have good pitching by the sound of it.

Big day.....I've got Cain, Johan and Lackey all going today. Last night I had Wainwright and Washburn, who were both good, but the Seattle bullpen blew Washburn's win.

My starting pitching has been excellent the last few weeks, except for Felix's hiccup the other night.
